Bangle size chart
Indian bangle sizes are written as 2.2, 2.4, 2.6 and so on. The number after the point is in sixteenths of an inch, added to 2 inches of inner diameter — so 2.4 means 2 and 4/16 inches (2.25″).
| Size | Inner diameter | Inner circumference | Usually fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.2 | 2.125″ · 54.0 mm | 17.0 cm | Very slim wrists, young girls |
| 2.4 | 2.250″ · 57.2 mm | 18.0 cm | Slim wrists — the most common size |
| 2.6 | 2.375″ · 60.3 mm | 19.0 cm | Medium wrists — the most common size |
| 2.8 | 2.500″ · 63.5 mm | 19.9 cm | Broad wrists |
| 2.10 | 2.625″ · 66.7 mm | 20.9 cm | Large wrists |
| 2.12 | 2.750″ · 69.9 mm | 21.9 cm | Extra large |
Method 1: measure a bangle that fits you
- Take a bangle that slides over your hand comfortably and does not fall off.
- Place it on a ruler and measure straight across the inside, edge to edge, through the centre.
- Match the number with the inner diameter column in the chart above.
Method 2: measure your hand
- Bring your thumb and little finger together, as you do when putting on a bangle.
- Wrap a strip of paper or thread around the widest part of your hand, over the knuckles.
- Mark where it meets, measure the length in cm, and match it with the inner circumference column.
Between two sizes? Choose the bigger one — especially for a stack of many bangles or for glass bangles, which do not stretch. Still unsure? Send us a photo of a bangle that fits you on WhatsApp and we will tell you your size.
